Yes, it will fit.  I did it about a year ago.  As I recall, I had to do some minor trimming on the inside of the shell to clear the coupler mounts on the new frame.  Nothing major or difficult to do at all.  Also, the shell wanted to sit too low on the new frame.  A thin styrene shim on both sides applied to the top of fuel tank took care of that problem.

Will a shell from an older two motor Bachmann 44 ton engine  fit on the chassis of the new one motor Bachmann 44 tonner?
