Yup, that simple.

I recently got a smart phone. Already had wifi and JMRI. Installed Engine Driver on the smart phone, started  WiThottle on JMRI and then Engine Driver on the smart phone. Everything just worked.

Using JMRI Engine Driver
Posted by Eric97123 on Thursday, October 18, 2012 9:45 AM

I have a question for anyone using the JRMI Engine Driver on their smart phone with a digitrax system.  My wife got a new smart phone and my first thought was I can use the old phone as a throttle and we have an older computer sitting the closet that could be used to tie it all in.  So to make sure I am headed down the right path of my thinking on how to make it work.  Set up computer with wifi and have the JMRI software on the computer.  Computer plugged into the Digitrax PR3, which is plugged into my existing Super Empire Builder.  The Engine Driver on my phone talks to the computer which talks to the PR3 which talks to the SEB which talks to my loco and I have a big smile... am I missing anything or is it that simple?
