You don't need anything special if the Bachmann locomotive has the NMRA 8-pin socket in the tender. LokSound makes decoders with the NMRA 8-pin plug on the end of a short wiring harness.
Litchfield Station in Glendale, Arizona, will program the decoder for you, so you don't need to do that, either. Their web site has a drop-down menu through which you can select your sound file, and they will program it.
At the time you select the decoder, most on-line dealers will program it for you if you tell them what sound file you need, and some even allow you to select which type of wiring harness you need, U.S. 8-pin or European 21-pin.
You don't need to stick with ESU, either -- a SoundTraxx Tsunami decoder would work just as well.
Forget about smoke. I'm not sure either brand of decoder supports a smoke generator, because those devices are a heating element that draws quite a bit of current.
The Bachmann model doesn't have a smoke generator built in, so it would have to be added. There's no room in the model for a smoke generator, and you also run the risk of the heat melting the shell's plastic.

sorry of course your right DCC sound. Slip of me. The problem is that the sound bord has a 8 pins connector. Those ESU USA 2-8-8-2 or similar trains, have 21 pins connector. Do I need to replace that sound board to ?
other qeustion is soundtraxx tsunami compatible with DCC Roco MM3 ?Will it runs in other words with this sytem ?
Most likely, you'll have to get your decoder from a European dealer. Most companies in the U.S. sell only NMRA DCC compliant decoders.
You would probably get the most accurate possibly answer from the ESU web site in Germany.

Isn't the Roco Multimaus DCC? I don't understand what you mean when you say you want DC sound. A decoder is going to be DCC and you will not get good control over the sound with DC.
Hey members,
I recently bought a Bigboy Bachmann Spectrum DC. In order to make it DC-sound and smoke, I need a (Euro ESU decoder.) decoder. Witch type can you recommand and how can I transfer those sounds on to my decoder ?
Thx for reading this post
