First off, I saw that part on their website mentioning the details tab, and couldn't find it either.
rrinkerThe software will run without the programmer - you can play the sound sampled in the software.
Second, do you have any details as to how you did this? I also saw that mentioned, and downloaded the most recent LokProgrammer software but in loading one of the sound profiles never found a way to listen to the sounds. I searched through all the different tabs/options, but never found anything.
UPDATE: I figured it out. If you have the Loksound software, you need to download the template pack. Then you can "assemble" sounds from that pack, and listen to all of the files. Thanks everyone.

All of their sounds are available in a sound library pack, it's meant to mix and match sounds for the individually programmable decoders like the Loksound 4, but they are the sampel samples used in the Select. I used this library to get a proper M3 horn into the Loksound 4. ALco RS3 sound set, it came with a 5 chime horn sound, and my locos have M3RT1 horns.

Well, the Loksound website indicates that one needs to click the "details" tab to hear sound samples: http://www.esu.eu/en/downloads/sounds/loksound-select/. However, I was not able to find any such tab on the site. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places.
I'm wondering if you need to download one of the project files in order to be able to listen to the sounds. If this is the case, maybe all one needs to do is download whatever software they offer that gives the program necessary to get a project.
If you have one of their programmers, maybe you already have what you need.
Does anyone know where you can hear the Loksound samples? The Loksound Select claims to have a NYC 5 and 6 Chime included, but I haven't found anywhere to actually hear either one. I even tried finding a Youtube video with someone using those sounds, but nothing yet. The ESU website doesn't seem to have anything like QSI or Soundtraxx to listen to their sound files.
I can contact ESU about this if need be... I just wanted to see if anyone knows of somewhere I could find some examples. How I am supposed to know if I want to buy their product if I can't hear it first, right? :)
Also, anyone know if you could put your own whistle onto the decoder through the LokProgrammer software, but use all the other ESU provided sounds? I doubt it, but that would be a great/perfect idea.
