The zone numbers are determined by the address of the BDL168 detection zones, which are determined by the board ID. Do you have a computer interface so you could run JMRI or Loconet Checker? If not you really should, when setting up complex stuff liek this. Loconet Checker can configure the BDL168's, and it would also tell you what the actual detection blocks are. On the throttle you will only see the transponding zones. JMRI also has some settings to control the Surroundtraxx, too. Both pieces of software are free, you just need a Locobuffer-USB or PR3 to interface your computer.

I'm BACK. after enjoying my surroundtraxx for a while, I've run into another problem. I replaced my digitrax decoders in some of my locomotives and the sound is gone again. The DT402 throttle is displaying different zone numbers than it was before. My zones are 0,2,4 and 6. It is now reading back numbers like 3970, 3968,3972 and 3974. My surround system can't match these zones so it doesn't work. Does anybody have an idea as to what went wrong here? These are much newer digitrax decoders..has anything changed with them?
