found the info and got it the " VO-1000 " done ...Big Smile I used a "baldwin408" in the what I thought was the correct board for the vo-1000,close enough for me.It sounds like a" rock crusher" .I did make a beacon out of the orange , stock LED head that came in the older "angin made vo1000" and filed it (LED) down to fit In  the "details west"RB-106 base ,came out Nice , still need to program a horn but "NP #415 vo-1000 "is ready for servise...Jerry

Richard, Thanks! That worked...I have a programming booster and was able to get the flash down pat. A note for other modelers....CV59 set at 0 is a "fast" flash rate, and set at 15 is the slowest rate. I experimented and then set the rate at 4 (about 1 flash per second). JRP

It is easily programmable with Decoder Pro.  Or can be programmed by CVs with your system.  You may need a programming booster.

Try CV51 or CV 52 (depends on which wire you attached to the light)  to 7 and CV 59 (flash rate) to between 0 and 15.

Also, Soundtraxx has great manuals on their website you can download.

Rotary beacon

I installed a Tsunami EMD 645 decoder to an Athearn RTR GP35 with lighted beacon the other day. The decoder comes with functions for additional lighting and after I installed the 1.5V bulb to function 5, I expected the light to "pulse" similar to a rotary light. The light does come on, but no pulsating. Can this be adjusted by a specific CV? If so, any idea which CV to enter? I have a RTR road switcher by Athearn with factory installed Tsunami and rotary beacon, but it does pulsate and is similar to a rotary light. I do not know if the factory had to add this feature or not. Thanks. JRP
