I think it's a wiring issue. I am confused about detection gaps and zones. Also the Zephyr does not
have a find button, so how do I know it is working.

John,
Yes, the Zephyr will support transponding. Now to the BDL168 issue. Please tell us more about your system and how the BDL is connected, how many BDLs, how may RX4s, etc.
Elmer is correct. You must get the BDL working correctly before getting the transponding to work.

Don't try to install Transponding until you get the BDL-168 set up and working first. It is easier to work one new system at a time rather than two, because you won't know which one is giving you trouble.
Follow the directions and don't try to take short-cuts. Pay attention to the details. Electronic installations are very specific. If you do it right, it will work right the first time. Make a check list if necessary to double check your installation.
I have installed about seven BDL-168 boards and haven't found a bad one yet. All of them worked right away.
Elmer.
The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.
(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
According to Digitrax web site - Yes, if you have transponders installed that report back to the command station.

Does anyone know if Digitrax Zephyr will support transponding? I am trying to set up Surroundtraxx
and I can't get the BD168 to detect the blocks.
