MRC also has a Yahoo user group.
Sys 6 is the answer.
Press SYS then 6 on the cab this will tell you what that cab # is, you can change it by selecting a different # and then press enter. If you have two cabs you will want to # them in sequence CAB #1 & CAB # 2. Remember Cab #1 is always the master cab. The directions clearly state never to duplicate any cab addreses. Also make sure the cab selector on the base unit is set to "ALL CABS"
There is a lot more to this in the instuction pamplet that comes with the unit. Which alows you to select what cabs can and cannot program on main and so on.
Good luck, Truck.
Yep Randy is right. If both cabs have the same address it will cause the system to act erratically, The instructions for setting the cab address can be found right on the back of the cab. That should cure your problem.
Jeff
Did you change the cab ID? There is some wierd setting in the MRC system that sets which cab addresses are allowed to program. It's in the manual, or on the MRC web site.

John,
First, click the torn paper icon to the right of the URL (web address) window at the top of your browser. This will run an emulated version of Internet Explorer 9 (IE 9). The current forum software isn't compatible with IE 9 yet. After you have done the above you can then edit your current post.
Operating with a different browser like Firefox 9 will also work. I have both installed on my computer for when these sorts of things arise. I prefer Firefox but some sites work better with other browsers like IE.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
I am currently having two issues with my MRC Prodigy advance squared system:
1. None of my locomotives will program on the program track, regardless of manufacturer or decoder type. I've checked for snug connection of wires, correct connection and any of the basics. However, they program fine on the main. If I select program track, and the program option like it says to in the manual it won't work on the program track.
2. One of my cabs will not work or display information, at first I thought it was the cab, but then I realized it wasn't when I switched places with the other cab and it worked fine. I checked the cable too, and that works fine as well. So one cab just wont do anything.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated
