I installed Kadee trucks No.555 with Intermoutain wheels. There are short circuits and sparks. What should I to eliminate this?
Sounds like the trucks are metal, with no insulation between the two sides. What kind of wheels came with the trucks. Maybe the trucks were made for plastic wheels.
I just took a look at the Kadee website and the trucks. It says they have non magnetic metal wheels, metal sideframes, and fully sprung bolsters. Doesn't say what the bolster is made of, but it looks like current could flow from the metal wheels, to the metal sideframes, through the springs, and across the bolster. Hard to believe they didn't think of this, but I can't see any other way. You might want to call Kadee and ask them about it.

The trucks are all metal. The Intermountain wheel sets are only insulated on one side. You must make sure the insulated wheel is on the same side of the truck on both wheel sets.
I use Intermountain wheel sets in Kadee trucks for most of my rolling stock, it will work fine once you swap the wheels around as discribed above.

Thanks for the answer. I will do that right away.

All I can say is, Yep, Sheldon is right. Swap the wheels as he says.
