It's don't work ! The system does not recognize the Sb3a ! I don't why! I'll try something else
tm-pmg,
Here's what I found on one of the Yahoo! Groups. It's dated June 1, 2010:
"Yes you can use an NCE USB Interface with the SB3a, I'm running mine at the moment. Make sure the jumpers on the USB board are correctly set and I've found that the system is sensitive to the Serial Port Bit Rate. This is 9600 bits/sec by default (in Windows XP) but 19200 bits/sec seems to be what's needed.
So, there are three things to do. You have to set up Decoder Pro preferences with the correct bit rate (board rate), then the NCE USB jumpers need to be correct and then you must set the correct bit rate on your PC. Do the last thing by going into Device Manager/Ports and select the one that is used by the USB Interface. Open up Properies/Post Settings and change the bit rate accordingly. Let us know if it doesn't work."
Let me know if that works, tm-pmg, because have an SB3a and would be curious to know also.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
I wanted to know if anyone knew how to run JMRI (with the NCE USB) with a NCE booster SB3a ? The system works great with my cab power but not with the booster.
Thanks!
