Loksound Select Micro- anyone used yet?
Posted by 1948PRR on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 6:49 PM

I'm switching from 1940's HO to 1990's N. One of the things that's kind of kept me in limbo, is that I absolutely fell in love with the motor control of the Loksound decoders. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit them in my N scale GP and SD units without removing almost all of the weight and maybe more.

I see ESU just released a micro design that should be much easier to fit. Anyone try them?

While I have not tried the Micro I have put 2 of the Select decoders in HO scale brass steamers and am thoroughly impressed. I see now that they have come out with PRR specific sounds for the Select. If it is loaded with 4 prime mover sounds I wonder which 4 steamers they selected.
