Tsunami for U50
Posted by richg1998 on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 4:43 PM

I just received and email from Traintek LLC that SoundTraxx is supposed to be shipping in about a week. Traintek will have it for $95.20.
I suspect Litchfield will be about the same and they have had free shipping over $75.00 but I have not bought from them in some time.

Thanks for the heads up, Rich. By the way the part no. for the Dual FDL-16 is 827124. Decoders for the U50 are floating around on Ebay, but the ones I saw were NOT for the dual decoder version. There is a TSU-1000, FDL-16  already around which is the correct prime mover for the U50, but not the dual version. As always, buyer beware.

Yeah, I am sure we will hear more about issue. Many do not take time to understand decoders and will think they are getting the new dual version off of ebay. Paying attention to the part number will be important.

Bruce, former owner of Litchfield Station has suggestions for making the Tsunami sound like a dual version by tweaking the reverb options. Some put a single decoder into a A unit and modify the reverb to sound like the B unit also has a prime mover.

Rich,

There is a blog section on the SoundTraxx web site That covers the CV's for a dual prime mover also.
