My Spectrum with on board Tsunami run on DC out of the box.

Tsunami I installed myself, I had to activate the DC option as I recall now but normally do not use DC.

If you buy a loco with Tsunami from say a private sale or one that was on consignment at a LHS, all bet might be off as some users disable the DC option as it can affect the decoder when using DCC from reports I have read in some other forums.

Sometimes you may have to reset the start voltages, feedback etc to get it to run well on DC at slow speed.   Covered in manual.

Tsunami's are shipped from the factory with analog disabled.  Go to page 53 of the manual link from above.  You need to set CV12 to 1 before setting CV 29.

You probably need to enable analog operation.  See table A on page 16 of the following: http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals/Users%20Guide%20Diesel.pdf

If you want no speed tables, extended address, 28/128 speed step operation in DCC, normal direction, and analog operation, then CV29 needs to be 38.  Try that and see what happens.

Tsunami and analog?

Are all Tsunami decoder's capable of running in analog?

I have one that is installed in an F unit. It will run fine with DCC but it will not run analog. I did not do the install, it was already  installed.

I have even reset the decoder back to factory default, which seem's to be working because the address goes back to #3.

any ideas?
