First thanks for all the folks that helped with Speed Matching my BB F7 A and B. They are now playing pretty well with each other.
But I am still fuzzy on CV 2 and Kick Start.
I know that CV 2 is the starting voltage the decoder see's.
Kick Start gives a quick burst of power to get the motor turning.
From what I think I know KS burst of power is at the volts CV 2 has been set to, is that right? Or does the CV value it self set the volts?
Reason I ask, when I was speed matching the A unit I had to set CV 2 @ 60 and KS @ 15 to get the engine moving at 1% power.
Next question. What speed range does CV 2 control? I know CV 5 is top end and I sat the the CV at full power. CV 6 is mid range and I used 49% power to set the CV. So does CV 2 only control the start, or does it cover from 1% to say 49% power?
Thanks for the help you folks have gave me, but I still like to get a better feel for balancing CV 2 and CV 65.
Thanks for the coming answers.

CV2 is the minimum voltage to the motor the decoder will allow. Kick start will give brief bursts of up to track voltage to keep the motor turning. The higher the kick start the more power is sent for that brief period. The harder the motor gets kicked is the amount of time the kick happens.
