ESU is a German upmarket brand, which has a reputation of quality and innovative products. It is the leading brand for sound decoders in Germany - you can´t go wrong choosing them.
I use some LokSound. They are nice.
You can upload and change sounds if you buy the programmer module. They have different styles of decoders. Do some research on line.
I usually by on line from Litchfield Station and they have lower prices for SoundTraxx.
I use both.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Recently the model shop that I purchase the majority of my supplies from has decided to start carrying ESU decoders, speakers, command stations and other items. Just wondering what everyone thinks of the manufacture and its products.
I usually by soundtraxx products and allways have been pleased, I did notice the ESU brand items are a bit cheaper in price. Thanks
