 The speakers are mostly the same. There's not all that many companies making the little speakers we need. Changing the speakers won;t do much. Changing the DECODER but using the same speakers, on the other hand...

I've never tried this, but don't think merely changing the speaker is going to make any difference in the sound quality.  N scale is simply too small to have a decent sounding speaker.

    Have a few MRC 1806 sound decoders on my N scale locos and am curious to see if I put in one of the Soundtrax speakers  what it would sound like. Also if its a tough job to do?  It looks easy.   Thanks Much
