RandolphVT Thanks you, gentlemen, for your help! I think I'm all set, either with Delmar or Miniatronics, so my project is back on 'go'! I thought I'd checked out Miniatronics but my senior brain confused them with Circuitron, which gives you some idea of what I'm up against... Thanks again, Larry

Larry,
Other sources may be less expensive, but in my experience, Miniatronics has the best product line on the market and I shop them extensively. Good choice on your part.

I use bi-color LEDs extensively on my control panels to indicate the direction of the turnouts thrown by the Tortoises.
I had initially purchased these bi-color LEDs from All Electronics but found them to be too dim. So, now I purchase bi-color LEDs from Miniatronics. These two legged LEDs are bright and reliable.

This will make it a little easier. Store the link in Favorites. Look at the complete site also. Click on LED's and then bicolor 3mm. Very annoying site though.
Our club uses them with slow motion Tortoise and another brand of slow motion machine. No resistor needed. We use 9 vdc instead of 12 vdc for slower action.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Try DeMar electronics in Algonquin IL. Toll free 877-655-6433. 3 and 5 mm about two bits apiece
Greetings!
Back in the September 2010 issue of MR there was an article about controlling turnouts from multiple locations, written by Bob Kingsnorth. In it, he uses bi-color, red/green, leds, that have only two wires, the catthode and annode. I've tried to find such leds on the internet, and can only come up with the 3-wire variety, which are not covered in his article, and leave me clueless. Any ideas on who might carry such 2-wire bi-color leds?
Thanks for your help!
