Those must be some powerful magnets  - the reed switch is up top over the motor! There is no CV to disable it, you may have to cut it out of the circuit.

Proto 2000 volume controls w/ (quantum)

I've just purchased a 0-6-0 switcher from walthers and it has the quantum dcc sound decoder equipped. Locomotive runs and sounds great, however, its able to be used in analog dc as well. My dilemma is that the loco comes with a magnetic wand to change the volume settings in dc mode, and i have digitrax dcc so basically whenever i run over one of my magnetic uncouplers the volume changes. Then i have to program the volume on the main using ops mode and its getting to be a pain.Wondering if there is a cv that i can reprogram to disable this feature for dc mode?? I've been looking at the manuels on walthers website all day but i'm not sure that i'm looking at the correct one. Maybe someone can help, thanks
