MRC Prodigy Advanced Wiring question
Posted by Headbanger on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 7:08 PM

Hi All,

I'm new to model railroading.  I just finished laying my track and now it's time to hook up my MRC Prodigy Advanced.  I am only running one train on the layout at a time.  My question is: In the manual, it shows one set of wires leading from the base unit to the Main Track and one set leading from the base unit to the Program Track.  What is the "Program Track"?

Thanks for your help

The program track is a piece of track that is electrically separate from the rest of the layout.  It is used for programming of your locos.  Note that you can also do some programming on the layout itself ("programming on the main").  Before you do any programming please read the Prodigy manual carefully.
