Using BD4's with reversers

Will a BD4 block detector work correctly in a section that has a reverser on it?

 Sure, why not? It needs to go between the reverser and the track, so the slight power draw of the reverser doesn;t show an occupied block. The phase throught he detector doesn't matter, so if it's set to match the entrance or exit of the loop it won;t matter, and will detect a train sitting on the loop or show an empty block if no train is standing there.

Thanks. With a current detection circuit I didn't know if it cause a false trigger or un-trigger after the polarity or phase switched.

I also received this note on the Digitrax groups.  I hadn't thought about the single rail A common.

It will work, but it will have the same limitations as in other locations with
regard to false indications with supersonic decoders, and you will be wasting
three of its four sections, since it has only one common "Rail A" input

A block detector will work with a reversing section, but it must be attached ONLY to the reversing section.  Other sections must use a different block detector.
