Roundhouse 4-4-0 Problem
Posted by steamfreightboy on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 2:13 PM

Hey everyone,

I have a roundhouse 4-4-0 with sound and DCC, and whenever I try to run it, it shorts out my layout. It is fine simply sitting on the track, and I can trigger sounds ok, but when I tell it to move it shorts. Why is it doing this and what should I do?

Thanks,

sfb

Motor is likely not properly isolated from frame/ground.

You'll damage your decoder if you aren't careful.

REMOVE the shell and see if the motor is grounded to the frame.
