I use it with my NCE Power Pro system. I thought programming by hand with NCE was easy, using JMRI Decoder Pro is even easier. You don't even have to know the CV numbers or the values they take.
Elmer.
The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.
(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
richg1998 Train Modeler: I wish he would do that in the Charlotte, Atlanta or Greenville area. As hot has this topic is, I suspect we will see videos soon if not already some around. There is a active Yahoo JMRI Group that discusses, cusses this software with PC use quite a lot. Below is a link I love. It shows info about JMRI clinic and right below is an invitation by MRC to discuss the MRC DCC system. Ought to be some interesting discussions. http://www.railroadhobbyshow.com/whoswho.asp#2009WW MRC will not work with JMRI. Rich

I'm a Yahoo JMRI group member and love decoder pro, etc. We use Digitrax and it works great with it. Saves money on cabs too.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
At the train show in West Springfield, MA Jan 29 and 30 there will be clinics on using this software for DCC with computers. I have seen this posted in a couple Yahoo DCC Groups by Ken Cameron who will be giving the clinic along with a couple other people. Go to the below link and look for the show info. Everything you need for show info is there. You can print this out to find just about any clinic of vendor in the show. The site is usally updated regularly.
