Innphidell I have a couple of MRC auto Reversing modules (sans wiring diagrams) I know the red leads got to main bus power; I know the yellow leads go to the rails. I don't know where EXACTLY the gap(s) need to be cut into the rails. Your thoughts ?? Thank you Nels

Nels,
From what you are telling us, the red leads go to the input side of the auto-reverser from the main bus, and the yellow leads go to the output side of the auto-reverser from the reversing section. Any feeder wires inside the reversing section should be attached to the yellow leads. Any feeders in the main section (i.e., the non-reversing section) of the layout should be attached to the main bus wires.
As far as rail gaps, we need to know more about your layout and the configuration of the reversing section. The rail gaps are needed to completely isolate the reversing section and to prevent power from the main section reaching the reversing section except through the input side of the auto-reverser.
Also, you indicate that you have a "couple" of auto-reversing modules. If there is more than one reversing section, and you are going to use one auto-reversing module for each reversing section, then there may be additional considerations when placing the rail gaps.
Can you give us more information about your layout and the configuration of the reversing sections?
