Well, if you were a modeler of SP diesels you wouldn;t be wondering. And you be complaining there weren't ENOUGH functions Laugh

Let's see, you have F0F and F0R for the headlights, F1 and F2 for alternately flashign ditch lights, F3 for a rooftop flasher, F4 for a Gyralight, hmmm... well you could have a cab light, and also step lights if you are in HO or larger. There's F5 and F6. Or maybe uncouplers.

Basically they are the second and third light output, commonly used for ditch lights but can be configured to act a dozen or so ways.  They are defaulted to F5 and F6 but can be mapped pretty much any way you want.  Mine are configured as ditch lights that flash on horn.  They are mapped to come on with the head light.

How did you map your ditch lights to come on with the headlight, and still flash with the horn? I have mine on F5 and F6 and would like to free up those functions.

               Thanks

I used decoder pro which is easy and quick .  Do you have the tsunami manual?

Here's a link to the Tsunami Diesel users guide.

http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals/Users%20Guide%20Diesel.pdf

Go to page 24.  This is where you set up the functions.  Look at the chart and in this case the line next to F0.  F0 cv is 33.  Note that the default for CV 33 is 1 which allows for control of the headlight.

Now under each item that is controllable by a particular function you see a number.  For FX5 the number is 16 and FX6 the number is 32.

If you want F0 to control the headlight and FX5 FX6 ditch lights simply add the numbers together

1 for headlight Plus 16 for FX5 Plus 32 for FX6 equals 49.  This is what you set CV 33 to.

So CV33 set to 49 will result in F0 controlling the Headlight, and both ditchlights.

The flashing and crossing functions of FX5/6 are set in another area.  Go to page 29 of the manual for that .

Thanks. I already have the ditch lights to flash when the horn blows. But I wasn't aware I could control them and the headlight all on F0. I thought each function needed a separate button. Thanks again.
