Before I spent a lot of time making a permanent mount for that antenna under the railroad I think I'd try hanging it temporarily and giving it a try first.  Most people I know hang it from the ceiling somewhere.

And I can tell you from first hand experience that the antenna does not like being in proximity to any screen wire, so if you happen to use that in your scenery work it would benefit you to experiment with locations first.

A and B are where the repeaters would plug in if you were using them.

NCE RB02 questions
Posted by Blind Bruce on Friday, December 31, 2010 11:16 AM

I have been running the wireless system for a while now and I am just now wondering what the three lights meanEmbarrassed They are labeles "local RX" , "RX B" and "RX A".

There are also two ports unused in my RR, labeled, "port A" and "port B". Where would these be used?

The reason I ask about the lights is I am thinking about mounting the RB02 and its antenne, under the layout out of sight. If these lights are important for troubleshooting, I will mount it in sight above the layout.
