The village was produced by Hallmark in 1995 in conjunction with a series of Hallmark movies of the same title. I think Glenn Close played the main character. The buildings are well detailed altho a little large for HO. The windows are translucent & have candles printed on them. The bottom is closed so you can't tell if there are any light blocking partitions. Just wondering if anyone else has tried to illuminate them. sorry for any confusion.
Sarah, Plain and Tall is a children's book written before Sarah Palin was ever anyone famous. The comma is important.

You might have had better response if you had titled your post "How to Install Structure Lighting" or something similar. And then you could have explained what you were trying to do, whether the structures were ceramic or plastic, and if the interiors were accessible or not, and any other pertinent information. I think many of the more knowledgeable folks on the forum just look at the post title, and if it doesn't catch their eye they'll just cruise on by.
And in all honesty, when I looked at the title I thought that you had just mispelled "Palin". I had never heard of a "Sarah Plain and Tall Village" until I Googled it after reading your post. And it does sound like that particular vendor is just trying to attract attention by name association.
"You betcha!"

Thanks for all the "HELP".
I didn't know Sarah Palin was into model trains. I wonder is she has a layout like Rod Stewarts?

I came to this site after getting my morning fix of political news, and the first thing I see (or thought I saw) was a post about Sarah Palin.
Obviously a case of too much politics, too little railroadin'.
jerrylI realize the structures are really not HO scale, but will do for under the tree.
eBay is a good source.
SP&T Caveat: Bid on the whole village, and not one piece => You will end up paying apx. the same for one piece, or the whole village. Common senses says...
I realize the structures are really not HO scale, but will do for under the tree. Looks like they could be lighted by drilling a hole in the bottom .Has anyone tried this or any other modifications? Thanks
