Installing Sound Decoder in a Bachmann 2-8-0
Posted by Georgia Trains on Sunday, December 19, 2010 6:20 PM

I have a Bachmann HO 2-8-0 which is DCC equipped. I would like to attempt a sound decoder installation myself. Is there any tutorials available for this? Has anyone done a similar installation?

I have decent skills - I think (ha ha) any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Larry

I see in the Bachmann site that the tender has a spot for a speaker. Do not what yours has.

My Spectrum 4-4-0 and 4-6-0 have a spot for a 28mm/one inch speaker.

There is a link there for Litchfield. I think this was just before the 2-8-0 had the tender with speaker hole.

Save the links to Favorites. You will need them.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
