I was looking for the diagram for wiring the insulfrog on ho atlas switches with the tortise machines . If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. All the directions in the switch box show the contacts not the wiring. I am using Dcc for power and using the Bdl 168 and se8c for detection and signaling. Thanks Jim.
If it's a plastic, insulated frog, you can't wire it. You'll have to change your turnouts to ones with a metal frog.
they are the metal frogs they are all # 6 s
Google is your friend. Tortoise wiring diagram found this one: http://www.tonystrains.com/technews/tortoise/signal-wiring.htm
I added a wire to every one of mine but I haven't connected a single one - non of my locos so much as blinks a light over the frogs, even the smallest, a GE 44 tonner.
You can't solder to the metal they use - a 1-72 screw will fit in the hole. I didn;t use self-tapping screws, and they tapped themselves in just fine. The wires are soldered to the brass screw.

How much more information do you need? The diagram given you in Maxman's reply to your previous post was pretty clear. What is your confusion?
Joe
Edit: DC and DCC frogs are wired the same way
The light just went on [DUH] If im correct then 2&3 are the track power and 4 powers the frog ?
That's correct. Wiring can sometimes be confusing when you first start out. You should check to make sure that the proper rail gets connected to the frog when the switch is thrown to that route.

Rails to pads 2 and 3, frog to 4. If you get it backwards, swap 2 and 3.
Jeff But it's a dry heat!
