Did I get the right decoder for the Genset?

OK my LHS didn't have the HO version, so I got the N version. It's the NCE N14SRP

Please tell me this decoder will work? It has the 8 pin plug.

Thanks,

Michael

I didnt' see a pic of it but the description says it has a 3 inch harness. You should be able to clip off the capacitors in the housing near the plug and store it there.  Should be good to go.

Yes it will work, I will install NCE N14IP into my two units. With the N14IP there is no harness to cope with.

Ahhhh perfect! Thanks guys. I will go ahead and remove those big capacitors then. It's only temporary until someone comes out with the sound decoder for it.
