Think I ironed out my electrical problem(s).
Using an alligator clip, after disconnecting the common wire to terminal 7, I connected my common wire directly to the track and, what do you know, the darn thing works. One side of terminal 7 is open. Also discovered a second terminal that is open. Went and got some 9" code 100 straight track, unable to find Atlas code 100 rail connectors locally. Will be checking the internet. Thanks to all who helped me out.
