Are there ideal or average position for CV´s 53, 54 and 55 in an ESU Loksound? Thanks.

A useful "average" are the preset values of 56, 32 and 24. The "ideal" value depends on your engine.

It might be useful to post your kind of engine, the kind of problems and ask for values others have used with good results with. However, you should know that it is hardcore tuning to fiddle with that CVs.

53    Range:0-80   Factory value: 56

Control reference Defines the Back EMF voltage, which the
motor should generate at maximum speed.
The higher the efficiency of the motor, the
higher this value may be set. If the engine
does not reach maximum speed, reduce
          this parameter.

54    Range:0-80   Factory value: 32

Load control K-component of internal PI-controller
parameter K Defines the effect of load control. The
higher the value, the stronger the effect
         of Back EMF control

55    Range:0-80   Factory value: 24

Load control „I“-component of internal PI-controller
parameter I Defines momentum (inertia) of motor.
The higher the momentum of the motor
(large flywheel or bigger diameter motor)
the lower this value has to be set.

From the manual.
