I have to agree with David's suggestions. I currently have:
DZ123PS's in a pair of Atlas GP7's; DZ125PS's in a pair of Atlas GP40-2's; a DN143IP in a BLI SD40-2; a DZ123 in an old, pre-DCC Concor SW7.
All of those physically "N"- and "Z"-sized decoders handle the HO-sized current demands just fine.
I also have a DN135PS waiting to go into an Atlas Trainman GP38-2, and have no worries that it will be able to handle the load.

On the Atlas forum there are pics of the socket, I think only an "IP" type will work due to space limitation.

I am using these N decoders in all my 3 Atlas MP15DC, in 1 Athearn MP15AC and in 2 Atlas C424 all HO not a bit of problem.
I will also use these N decoders in my 2 forthcoming Atlas Genset. I doubt bigger decoders will fit.
Both listed are for N scale but also work in HO. I have the N14IP in my Blueline AC6000.

Other than the board-specific replacement decoders, decoders do not have a 'scale' really. Both of those decoders are just small, one has a short hardness with an 8 pin plug and the other just sites right on the 8 pin plug (IP = Integrated Plug). Both handle the current requirements of any newer HO loco like the Genset. For some really small HO locos with no room you might even have to use one of the DZ Z scale decoders - it's all a matter of space.
Given that the model just arrived in the past couple of days, I don;t doubt that none of the decoder manufacturers lists is yet.

DN- decoders are for N scale, if I am correct. I guess should have clarified, I am looking for HO decoder
A Digitrax "DN143IP" or a NCE "N14IP" will fit.
Hope you can find one as they are long sold out.
I am thinking of ordering one and wonder what decoder will work.. I checked Digitrax website and I did not see it listed.
Thanks
