(With hope this is the last question re: my capacitive discharge circuit plans)
I will have two switch panels separated by perhaps 15 feet. If I put the CD and bridge rectifier on the transformer line near the wall outlet in the middle, will 8 to 9 feet of wire to each control panel result in noticeable current drop for each pulse from the circuit (which then has to travel up to another 10 to 12 feet out to the swithch motors?
I'm thinking not...especially if I use #16 wire or something.
Otherwise, would it be wiser to put two bridge rectifiers in, each right next to the control panel on the CD line.
# 16 WIRE is more than large enough.
No, this will not be a problem. You don't even need to use #16 wire for this. #18 is plenty, and should be available in the 3 conductor you need.

No, it shouldn't be any problem. My CD circuit is about 10 feet from some control panels, and I do that run with #22 wire. The runs from the panel to the turnouts are done with 4-conductor phone wire, which is only #26 or worse. I have no problems with any of my turnouts.
