With the increasing amount of available DCC decoders on the market, is there one website that
lists the types of decoders that are recommended for each locomotive model/manufacturer???
(ie Athearn genesis F7 uses Loksound XXX type decoder)
Not yet. Many types of decodes, sound and non sound. Lots of speaker possibilities and general decoder installs.
Many scale, locos, newer and older. Diesel, steam, electric. Lots of stationary decoders also for turnouts, etc.
I think I have seen this question in another forum very recently. You will have to search Google. You will find thousands of links on various DCC applications. In other word, do so homework. Right now your question is too general. Be more specific. Example, scale desired.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
No, there's no such web site and probably never will be simply because of your introductory sentence about there being so many different brands and types of decoders, and too many models and scales into which they will fit.
New decoders and new models are being introduced faster than anyone could keep such a web site updated.
The closest you'll come to such a listing is to go to each manufacturer's web site and see if they have a listing of recommended installations.
