cacole You need to first open up your locomotives and see if the frame has room for a speaker like the ones that are factory sound equipped as shown by richg1998 -- sometimes a different frame is used for a non-sound version.

I already opened it up when I installed a regular decoder. It is just plug and play for now. There are two weights where the speakers are supposed to be. I removed those two weights. They just pop right out.
The speakers and sound decoders are on order.
Rich, I appreciate the photos.
I found this photo from Bruce Petrarca's web site.
It looks like he made a shelf out of styrene for the decoder which looks rather easy to make.
Again, thank you both.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Below is what the loco looks like if you have not been inside yet. They use two 8 ohm, 28mm speakers in series with each other, facing each other. What you see is the weight with two 28mm metal inserts that can be removed.
If you went with the LokSound, v3.5, a good decoder, you will need two 28mm, 50 speakers in series but I would suggest the SoundTraxx decoder as it cost less.
I have a Atlas GP40-2 that looks similar inside but has the QSI sound.
Litchfield Station who I order DCC stuff from can advise you. They have for me and free shipping over $75.00.

Below is a comparison of my Atlas GP40-2.
May be more than you need to know.
I have two HO Atlas Dash 8s that are not factory equipped with sound. I was thinking about adding Tsunamis to them. Is it a hard process? I have installed Tsunamis in Athearns, but not Atlas. Also, what about the speaker mounts that are already there? Should I use them for speaker mounts?
