Pretty sure it's not actually soldered right to the PC board, there are short wires int here. Open it up and take a look - it's long out of warranty so the only thing I would do is be careful when prying the case apart so you don;t break somethign else. Look at the switch, or even unsolder the wires, they probably hav a suitable repalcement at Radio Shack - ifif you must have the EAXCT one, there shoudl be a manufacturer name and/or part number - check that on Mosuer or Digi-Key and you should be able to get the exact same switch, However it/s not that critical - you need a switch witht eh proper number of contacts, the right size mounting hole, and the body has to be the same size or smaller thant he existing one. Everythign else is cosmetic, if they have more than one switch which meets the rquirements pick the one with the handle you like - some have metal and some have plastic. Some metal ones have different colored pieces that slide over the handle. All secondary to the correct physical size and number of contacts.

Digitrax WILL NOT sell you replacment parts for you to fix it, even if it is or isn't out of warranty. You have to send it to them for repairs for a small charge (about $25). If it is out of production they may not want to fix it at all. since it is out of warranty either repair it yourself or take it to an electronics repair shop.
The same thing happened to one of my throttles after one of my operators dropped it on the floor. The next day I carefully opened the throttle and removed the broken switch noting the wiring configuration. I found a replacement micro switch at Radio Shack (bring the old switch with you to check specifications). Installation of the new switch was easy (just solder the wires to the terminals) and it was back up and running trains again in less than a hour. The longest part of the repair was the drive to Radio Shack. Good luck on your repair.
radio shack will have a suitable sub min switch. you just need the correct one be it double pole or single and whether it is changeover or centre off?? i have never had a digitrax throttle with a switch ( only DT's ) so i don't know what switch you need, but i'd open the case first because it may be a PCB mounted switch rather than one with solder tags for wires??
TA462 The toggle looks like the same one used in my UT4. It's just a simple toggle switch.

You need to know if it's a single pole or double pole.
Just contact Digitrax by email or phone and I'm sure they'll help you out. None of the electronics (DCC) companies offer spare parts on their websites.

The UT1s are out of production, the toggle MIGHT be universal, but I'd reccomend taking it to your local ectronic store and see if they have anything.
Of course, this voids the Digitrax warranty, but it's old enough I don't think it matters
