Power Cab is up and running again. It was the wall wart. I picked up a 15 vdc 2.5 amp for under $20 at a local store. I also wired in a 1141 bulb in one of the track buss wires to limit current until I can get something like a circuit breaker to trip at 1 and 1/2 amp.
Thanks guys.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
It does sound like a defective wall wart. Mine reads 14.38 volts right at the plug when not plugged into the interface board.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
For a quick test you can put nine AA batteries in series and hook the unit up to them.

I have no voltage output at the plug with a DMM and a 14 volt bulb. It does not register even a little voltage.
Are you sure the problem is the wall wart and not the Cab?
The suppy you mention should be ok as long as the voltage isn't actually higher.
The NCE supply is 13.5 volt, 1.1 amp.
The power supply for my power cab went south last night on me while programing a soundtraxx decoder on the program track. The cab started blinking out like there was a short. I switched over to main line and set the cab for reading amps. While the loco was moving and bell a whistle sounding it was reading less than 1/2 amp. Then it went blank and never came back. I guess after 7 years it was time to go.
My question is has anyone replaced the little wall wart with something different then the P114 from NCE ? I can get a 15v 2.2 amp wall wart with the same polarity plug for half the price. What do the electronic gurus think?
