Yup. Not gonna get far with just a ProCab throttle and a transformer. That "low end" PowerCab system is just as if not more capable than the MRC and can be expanded to the full PoroCab if you want. But a ProCab throttle is NOT a DCC system and will not work without a command station/booster. You cna get the rest of the system as the PH-Box.

It sounds like you are talking about the ProCab, which is listed near the bottom of Tony's Cabs, Throttles and Wireless page for $124.95. If so, that is JUST THE CAB, not the command station. Without the command station, you will not be able to run trains.

There's power cab which is a good stand alone 2 amp system. Probably what you have.

There's procab which is a controller

And then there's phpro which is a higher end system. I doubt you paid that little for this one.

Yeah not sure what you bought, Tony has the PowerCab for $155.95, and it comes with a power supply, nothing extra needed.

I am not sure what you wanted. A Pro cab is not a complete DCC system. It is just a throttle. If you are looking for a complete DCC system then you should get a Power Cab for around $150. I also see no listing for a Pro Cab Deluxe.
