I ordered one from All Electronics last week that has that particular rating.  I'm putting in the same uncouplers.  I'll let you know how it works out.

Actually I bought one to try out but when my old DC power pack's AC terminals couldn't handle it, I tossed it in a  drawer and decided to just use skewer, a whole box of which costs $1.

Power supplies of 16V AC at 4-4.5 amps are all over eBay for $11 or less. Just search for 16V AC power supply. See why I said don;t waste money at Radio Shack in the Tortoise thread?

Power supply for Kadee electric under track uncoupler?
Posted by Split Reduction on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 9:50 PM

I would like to purchase several Kadee electric under track uncouplers. Kadee says they require a 16-18 volt DC 3 amp power supply. I'm having no luck in finding a DC power source with this rating. I'm sure some of the folks on this forum have successfully used these Kadee uncouplers. What did you use for power.
