 Use a tiny surface mount LED. then stick it on with caulk or double sided tape.

 Yup caulk should do the trick. It's Also easily removed if the bulb needs changing as well.  Make sure you use the clear stuff.

 Elmer's glue or a dab of latex caulk. Hmm, cover the LED in glue and that may make it dim enough to look right.

How will I Lodge an LED onto a roof? Where will I find a bulb retainer to hold the LED onto the roof.
