You do NOT need a program track booster, especially with the Zephyr. Read up on Ops Mode programming. Also google Zephyr Blast Mode and read up on that as an alternative. Blast mode sends program commands to the main track at full power, so you need to make sure there are no other locos on your track.

I bought a Power Pax from Tony to program sound decoders. Note the booster is only required if you want to read CV, you don't need a booster to write CV. An alternative is to use the blast mode feature of the Zephyr, in closing option switch 7 if I recall correctly. I never uses it myself and don't use the Power Pax anymore. Now all programming of sound decoders is done with a Digitrax PR3 and Decoder Pro.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it.
I have a Digitrax Zepher and I have a loco that has a Tsunami sound decoder in it I couldn't peogram it so I had someone else program it. My question is there a PROGRAM BOOSTER that will work with a tsunami, Digitrax and other decoders or do you need a booster for each brand of decoder. that could get costly!
Thanks
