I do not have any Athearn diesels. I signed up to the Athearn email notification quite some time ago. They do not pester you will a lot of notices. Maybe once a month, I get an email from them . Helps me stay aware of the Athearn/Roundhouse/McHenry products.

 Those settings look like general loco operation with flashing ditch lights.  Good settings to file away.

 That is a good example of the benefits of registering your product. Smile

Just got the email notice. They use the Tsunami. The question might pop up.

Greetings! June 10, 2010

To Our Valued Dealers and Customers,

After our DCC, sound-equipped Norfolk Southern GP15-1s were shipped, it came to our attention that  the front ditch lights did not function as intended.

Thankfully, there is a relatively simple fix for this by adjusting CVs on a DCC-equipped layout or section of track and the front ditch lights can be corrected to their as-intended configuration; directional operation, with the ditch lights alternately flashing when the horn is blown.

In order to complete this modification on your Norfolk-Southern GP15-1, the following CVs will need to be changed:

CV33 = 1
CV34 = 2
CV39 = 6
CV40 = 0
CV49 = 15
CV50 = 15
CV51 = 41
CV52 = 57
CV57 = 51

This adjustment should only take a few moments to accomplish with most DCC systems (please check the Owner’s manual or other documentation for your particular brand of DCC system for guidelines on adjusting CVs), and should result in the intended operation outlined above.

If you have problems please contact us at help@athearn.com

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
