Number 1, keep trying to get them on the phone.  It takes a while but once you do they have the best service around.  If the unit is showing a short with the layout unplugged it doesn't sound good.  Try cycling power to the unit.  Also check the plug where the wire to the track goes to make sure there aren't any bent pins or similar touching each other.

Bachman Dynamis short circuit
Posted by Running Railroader on Monday, June 7, 2010 7:32 PM

I am having problem with Dynamis system.  It is fairly new and was working fine.  It now shows I have

a short circuit.  Initially thought I had a short in track someplace.  Could not fine, so unplugged wire to

track.  I still get a short circuit symbol when I turn on receiver.  I have tryed to talk to Bachman about

this problem, but cannot get to a real person in Philadelpia.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I need help, I have not had DCC very long and this is very frustrating.
