Since this product is G scale, try the Garden Railways magazine forum, too.

Is this the manual you say you found on the Lionel site?   http://www.lionel.com/media/servicedocuments/78-2007-250.pdf

If you have everything connected like this documents shows, then my best guess is that you have a defective product and now know why it was for sale.

Unfortunatley, I don't think you can count on Lionel Corporation for any help or parts.

Ted, the bulk of Lionel users are on the "Classic Toy Trains" section of the forum, you will get much more response over there.  Most of the folks on this section are smaller scales, HO, N etc and don't use Lionel.

Lionel G Remote Switch problem? 82007
Posted by TeddyB on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 6:42 AM

Hi ALL!
Well I have this used 82007 Remote Switch that I'm trying to get to work! I don't have instructions, so I went to Lionels site, found manual. I hooked it up , what I think IS correctly! The lights work on the Remote Switch and the Light Tower. What it WILL do is throw the switch out...but when you move the lever back, it doesn't do anything! I pushed the brass looking bar back into the the switch housing, it'll only throw it out!  I've used both DC and AC, same results, just one does it faster! What gives? HELP! Any ideas?
Many thanks, Ted
