Due to the high failure rate with MRC sound decoders,Athearn has turned to Tsunami to equip their newer releases of Challengers and Big Boys in N scale.Fine I think but it has me wondering.Are the tenders the same meaning that a Tsunami retrofit is a simple drop-in available from Athearn or is it entirely different setup.I have one Tsunami retrofit (TSU750/Challenger) on the way but it's no easy job,so a drop-in kit might be an interesting option.I still have a Big Boy and another Challenger that are likely to fail me...some time.

Yes I also saw the ad, but not sure when it would be avialable, I just however bought a brand new Tsunami equipped Athearn Challenger and the sound of it is top notch. So I am sure the decoder should be available.
