I had 2 in n scale before I came to HO. The classifications lights were very cool! Even if not correct. Happy New Year!

if you are talking about 'green' in forward, and 'red' in reverse - That is NOT how the real ones worked.  These are not 'marker lights' - They are 'classification' lights.  A normal scheduled train would not have them lit unless there was a following section(green).  If they were lit white, it means this is an 'extra' train.  Red on the rear would be used in place of a caboose(like a helper/light engine moving by itself).

Moe,

I looked at the link, Same name but different engineman. The Kiefer in the link worked for Pennsy, My Graet Grandfather worked for the Reading.

Thanks, I will look at this. I solved the issue by stacking two decoders. The original ATLAS controls the lights but you have to reassign them to function 4 if I recall.

I than control the loco and sound with a new soundtraxx decoder. There is room to stack two and room in the cab for a Tony's dream Oval Speaker. These are nice runners and worth the effort. Mine are also CNJ Livery.

ATLAS HO FM Scale H 15 44 marker lights Soundtraxx Tsunami

Gentlemen,
I have several of these in CNJ livery. I want to add the SoundTraxx Tsunami sound decoder to them.

My question is has anyone configured the marker lights to work with these SoundTraxx Tsunami decoders as they work with the original ATLAS non sound decoder? This is a feature I want to retain.

With advice from this forum I have installed an old SoundTraxx LC for FM sound in tandem with the ATLAS for motor control. The ATLAS decoder controlled the lights as before.

I want to use the new Soundtraxx Tsunami with BEMF etc to do it all. Has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks, Chris
