I'm planning a new DCC layout and hope to re-use over 40 Atlas customline turnouts from my previous layout. How can I make them DCC friendly?
Am looking forward to an answer on this from the gurus.
Atlas Customline turnouts are 'DCC Friendly'......I have over 40 0f them on my layout, and the club has about 200+ on their 'DCC Only' layout.

Jim is correct. I have about 20 of them and they were direct plug with no electrical tweaking needed (I don't use electrically "hot" frogs). If you want hot frogs they can be adapted quite readily by attaching a wire from your switch machine contacts.

Wiring of Atlas turnouts is discussed on Allan Gartner's web site. [direct link]

Just hook up the layout with atlas turnouts and enjoy. Just make sure you have plenty of solder feeds. Good Luck

I too have 40+ Atlas turnouts with no issues. I did not find the need to do any of the complicated powered frog wiring described on Allan Gartner's website.

Same here. I have 50+ Atlas Customline turnouts on my DCC-powered layout with no special wiring. I just slip them in place between sections of Atlas flextrack and move on. All of my turnouts are powered by Tortoises. Pretty straightforward.
