Agreed. I have Peco Code 83 #6 turnouts that have insulated frogs, and they work very well, even with my small P3K SW8. Note that I had to swap out the traction tire axle in order to get this performance. With the traction tire pair on the motor, it stalled every 6-12", no matter where it was.

Unless you have been having issues with short wheelbase locos, or locos with few wheel pickups then I would stick with the insulfrogs as well.

Stick with the Peco Insulfrog switches.
I am going to buy some switches for a steel mill on my layout. My question is do i use insulfrog or electrofrog switches? right now I use peco Insulfrog switches. Also I am now running DC Power but I will be upgrading to DCC. Finally i do not use switch machines
