Well I got it alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other night I noticed that I had wired the head lights on my Athearn F3 (old blue box) with the top light as the head light. Not a problem I used mini connecters to both lights and to the speaker on my Tsunami TSU-1000 Digital Sound Decoder. Pop the shell off, switch the connecters put the shell back on. WHAT COULD GO WRONG? The old Athearn Loco's wieight has a stub that sticks out from the back. Must put weight on the rear trucks. I had milled it down to make it shorter to get my 1" speaker housing in the back of the Loco over the rear trucks. I eaven drilled two holes in the side of the speaker housing so the wires would not be pinched between the shell and the speaker housing. I put the Loco on the track powered up my NCE Power Cab, speaker made a buzzing noise. So I took the Loco of the track pulled the shell. Well I did not make the weight short enough. When I put the shell back on the wires got pinched between the weight and the speaker housing, pulled the insulation off of both wires and shorted them out. Lights work as I wanted them too. Loco even moves. NO SOUND. I ohmed the wires from the connector to the speaker they ohm out ok so I do not think it is the speaker.
Any one know what I should do now? Send it back to the factory?
What number is CV33 set to?
If you have a meter check to see if the function 5 or 6 output activate when you push the light button. maybe it's just crossed. Also try resetting the decoder to make sure something didn't get changed in the programming.

And the blue
I used the white wire.
The head light should be the blue and white wires. Function 6 would be the blue and green wires. So what did the poster use?
Sounds like that's his problem. Used the function 6 output.
One thing on my NCE power cab the light button does not work the lights I have to use button #6.
Any one now how to change this.

So Sorry.
For some reson when I programed the long loco #349 the NCE power cab knew it but the decoder did not.
I needed to put in loco 03 then change it to #349 again.
Like I said I must of missed a step.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
