Take a volt meter reading at the bulb and see if there is voltage. If not then look for a broken wire in the loco or maybe a bent pin in the plug.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
Bachmann does not use a 1.5 Volt bulb unless you have changed the decoder to one with a built in voltage regulator for Athearn bulbs. All of the Bachmann engines I have worked on have 12 Volt bulbs. If you replaced the Bachmann bulb with 1.5, you probably blew it out instantly when you turned the power on.
I have a Bachmann DCC on-Board 4-8-4, it's front headlight does not work anymore put it on the track and it no longer has a front headlight, I am using MRC prodigy advanced system the locomotive has a 1.5 volt bulb. I tried replacing the bulb with the voltage bulb and the light still doesn't work I also tried switching tenders to see if there was a communication problem and both the bad tender with another good locomotive had no problem front head for good locomotive worked and bad locomotive with good tender had same problem, no front headlight. If someone could lead me to the source of the problem I greatly appreciate it.
